Attention please: starting from January 1, 2025, it will no longer be possible to convert recognized language certificates into the language passport fide. However, recognized language certificates can be directly submitted to the competent cantonal or municipal authorities.

The State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) maintains a list of recognised language certificates. All language certificates on this list are valid for the residence permit (B), the settlement permit (C) and naturalisation.

• The fide Secretariat is not authorized to make decisions based on this list. For residence permit or a settlement permit and for ordinary naturalisation, please contact the cantonal immigration in your canton.
