fide for language learners | ProofsSubmitting a fide dossier
Do you have language skills at level B1 or higher? Then submitting a fide dossier could be the easiest and quickest way for you to obtain a language pass.
Who qualifies for the «fide dossier» procedure?
You qualify if are at least 16 years old and one or more of the following points apply:
- You hold a language certificate at level B1, B2, C1 or C2 that is not on the list of recognised language certificates.
- You have attended a German, French or Italian course at level B2, C1 or C2 and have a course confirmation.
- You have attended further training courses in German, French or Italian.
- You have work references that are meaningful in terms of language use.
What does a validation meeting look like?
A meeting consists of two parts in which it is checked whether your language skills correspond to level B1:
- Oral part: Two experts conduct a conversation with you.
- Written part: You solve a writing task.
If you pass, you will receive a language pass with level B1 written and level B1 oral.
Important
- Only level B1 is tested. If you do not reach level B1 in one part, you will not be awarded level A2. In this case, you will not receive a language pass.
- Even if your language skills are higher than level B1, you will still be awarded level B1.
- The meetings in German are always held on Saturdays in Bern, in French on Saturdays in Lausanne or Geneva and in Italian on Wednesdays in Bellinzona.
