ALTE - Associate Member
The State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) was admitted as an associate member of the "Association of Language Testers in Europe" (ALTE) in May 2023. Associate members of ALTE are organizations active in the field of "language testing" which, however, do not yet have a Q-Mark. Nevertheless, they commit to adhering to high-quality standards within such tests.

Mock exam («Speaking» part) in German or French
If you are not sure of your level, or whether you are sufficiently prepared for the fide test, you can register with us for a free mock exam of the «Speaking» part. Test levels range from A1 to B1.

You will receive a rough estimate of your level (A1 to B1) after one week. This mock exam takes place approximately 2 to 4 times a year. The registration for the mock exam is definitive.
Please note: the level assessment is not an official result. You will not receive a recognized language passport.
